Located in the heart of Scarborough, STUDIO 26 is dedicated to enriching our art community through providing artists with opportunities to learn, a creative space to work, and a framing service so we can care for and display our artwork to its absolute best.

Studio space hire is worked out on a case-by-case basis depending on amount of space needed, time required and length of hire-term. Come and see the space and have a chat about what you might need.

How I got here...

I originally did a Fine Art degree (painting and printmaking) at Wimbledon School of Art, exploring ideas around transparency and translucency, reflections and layering of imagery.

It was a natural progression to glass and in 2009 I completed a Masters Degree in Glass at the University of Sunderland, graduating with a Distinction. I’ve since completed my PhD research in Architectural Glass, achieved through an AHRC funded studentship.

Over the years, I’ve worked in the arts sector as a curator, youth arts festival director and gallery educator. I have worked full-time as an artist for almost 18 years.
